• ‒ → The joint -item A- of the boot lid seal must be aligned with the ball socket of the left hinge.

Removing and installing grip panel for boot lid

• ‒ → Remove screws -1- (2x).
  Tightening torque 2.5 Nm.
• ‒ Item -A; Unscrew nuts (2x) for lock cylinder on inside of boot lid.
  Tightening torque 6 Nm.
• ‒ Pull out grip panel -3- until wiring for both number plate lights can be disconnected.

• ‒ Remove grip panel.
• ‒ Use special tool V.A.G 1618 A to fit threaded rivet nuts - 2- (2x).

Joint dimension

• ‒ a =3.0 mm

Removing and installing holder for warning triangle

• ‒ → Take out warning triangle.
• ‒ Remove bolts -2- (2x).
  Tightening torque 2 Nm.
• ‒ Holder -1-.
• ‒ Spreader clip -3- (2x).
