Removing and installing components of the ABS/ESP system
Handbrake switch
Informs control unit -J104 whether or not the handbrake is applied. This information is required because the handbrake influences the ESP control function. The ABS solenoid valve relay -J106 and ABS return pump relay -J105 are no longer integrated in the hydraulic unit -N55, as in the Bosch type 5.0 system. They are now located in the relay carrier below the driver's side storage compartment => Current Flow Diagrams, Electrical Fault-finding and Fitting Locations |
