Removing

Vehicles ä 06.97:

  • ‒ → Remove screw and detach air charge hose together with left air duct pipe -arrows-.

Vehicles 07.97 ä:

  • ‒ Loosen left air intake hose on rear air duct pipe and move hose clear to one side.
  • ‒ → Remove rear air duct pipe:
    • ‒ Detach hose -1-.
    • ‒ Unfasten hose clip -2-.
    • ‒ Disconnect connectors -3- and -4-.
    • ‒ Remove bolt -5-.
    • ‒ Detach hose -6-.

  • ‒ → Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.
  • ‒ Drain coolant .
 
A19-0106
  • ‒ → Remove left coolant hose from cylinder head and expansion tank -arrows- and move clear to one side.
  • ‒ Release injection pump connector and detach from bracket.
  • ‒ Move wiring harness connected to coolant pipe clear.

 
A19-0107
  • ‒ → Disconnect hose -4- (going to oil cooler) from coolant pipe -2-.
  • ‒ Disconnect hose -5- (going to heat exchanger) from coolant pipe.
  • ‒ Detach coolant pipe from hose -1- going to coolant pump.
  • ‒ Unbolt coolant pipe from oil filter bracket -3-.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order, when doing this note the following:

  • ‒ Top up cooling system => Page 19-7.
