  • ● Lock carrier must be in service position .

Removing

  • ‒ Remove toothed belt => Page 13-19.
  • ‒ Remove viscous fan (with belt pulley) => Page 13-13.

Note:

Ribbed belt for air conditioner does not have to be removed.

  • ‒ Drain coolant => Page 19-4.
  • ‒ → Counterhold coolant pump pulley with 2-hole pin wrench 3212 and unscrew bracket using 8 mm Allen key.

  • ‒ → Remove coolant pump from bracket for alternator, vane pump and viscous fan -arrow-.
  • ‒ Remove coolant pump.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order, when doing this note the following:

  • ‒ Clean sealing surfaces on both sections of housing.

Note:

Renew O-ring.

  • ‒ Install viscous fan=> Page 13-13.
  • ‒ Install ribbed belt .
  • ‒ Top up cooling system => Page 19-7.
