Special tools, testers and auxiliary equipment required

  • ◆ V.A.G 1390

Test sequence

  • ‒ Pull vacuum hose off mechanical EGR valve.
  • ‒ Connect hand vacuum pump V.A.G 1390 to valve.
  • ‒ Operate pump.
    • ‒ The membrane rod must move in direction of vacuum connection

Note:

→ Observe membrane rod through opening -arrow-.

  • ‒ Pull hose of hand vacuum pump hose off exhaust gas recirculation valve.
    • ‒ The valve must be clearly heard to close. The membrane rod moves in direction of intake pipe
