Removing

• ‒ Remove turbocharger .
• ‒ Remove heat shield.
• ‒ Remove intake pipe => Page 15-12.
• ‒ Unbolt bracket for oil supply pipe from exhaust manifold.
• ‒ Only on vehicles with engine codes 1Z, AFF, AHU: Unbolt pipe for exhaust gas recirculation.

• ‒ → Unscrew all nuts -arrows- on exhaust manifold.
• ‒ Remove washers and bracket for heat shield and exhaust manifold if fitted.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order, when doing this note the following:

Always replace seals, gaskets and self-locking nuts.

• ‒ Install intake pipe => Page 15-12.
• ‒ Install turbocharger => Page 21-59.
