Leaks after air mass meter
t  Effect:
Loss of power
t  Possible causes of trouble:
1 - Hose connecting air mass meter to turbocharger
2 - Connecting hose to crankcase breather
3 - Connecting hose to mechanical turbocharger air recirculation valve
Leaks after turbocharger
t  Effect:
Inadequate charge pressure
t  Possible causes of trouble:
1 - Connection hoses and pipe between turbocharger and charge air cooler
2 - Hose between charge air coolers and intake manifold
3 - Charge air cooler
4 - Seal on charge pressure sender -G31- (in charge air cooler)
5 - Seal between throttle valve module and intake manifold
6 - Gasket between intake manifold and cylinder head
Leak on exhaust side
t  Effect:
Inadequate charge pressure; possible smell of exhaust gas, traces of soot in engine compartment
t  Possible causes of trouble:
1 -  Connection between turbocharger and exhaust manifold
2 - Connection between exhaust manifold and cylinder head
