‒ Briefly open the fuel filler cap (to release pressure).

‒ → Cover the screw union of the supply pipe (arrow), which contains pressurised fuel, with a cleaning rag to prevent fuel from splashing. Open screw union and collect fuel that flows out (place drip tray beneath cleaning rag).

‒ Disconnect the connectors from all the injectors.
-
‒ Disconnect vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator.

‒ Disconnect the connector from the Hall sender (engine codes ADR and AEB only).

‒ Unbolt the fuel manifold from the intake manifold and pull it upwards and off the intake manifold together with the injectors.

‒ Withdraw the retention clamp at the injector/fuel rail connection and pull the injector out of the fuel rail.
Installing

◆ Fit new O-rings.(When renewing the front O
ring, make sure not to remove the plastic cap from the injector head. The O-ring must be pulled off over the plastic cap.)

◆ Check to make sure that the retainer clamps are properly seated.

‒ Moisten the O-rings with clean engine oil.
-
‒ Push injectors vertically into the fuel rail until they meet a stop and secure with retainer clamps.

‒ Insert fuel rail with the secured injectors on the intake manifold and press in evenly until a stop is met.

‒ Insert securing bolts, press fuel rail gently by hand in the direction of the intake manifold and tighten securing bolts (10 Nm).

‒ Further installation takes place in the reverse sequence to removal.
