Note:

In the first learning phase, during the basic setting operation for the engine, slightly irregular idling and slight jolting during driving are possible.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

• ◆ VAS 5051 with VAS 5051/1

• or

• ◆ V.A.G 1551 with V.A.G 1551/3 A

Procedure

Perform the following operations after a voltage interruption:

• ‒ Interrogate fault memory and erase, if necessary .
• ‒ Perform adaptation of throttle valve control unit -J338 => Page 24-148.
