Special tools and workshop equipment required

  • ◆ V.A.G 1331 Torque wrench
  • ◆ V.A.G 1332 Torque wrench

Removing

  • ‒ Remove noise insulation.

  • ‒ → Unfasten nut -1-.
  • ‒ Take connecting link out of anti-roll bar.
  • ‒ Unscrew hexagon nuts -2- and detach anti-roll bar.

Installing

Notes:

  • ◆ Anti-roll bar and mount must be free from grease.
  • ◆ Arrow on connecting link points in direction of travel.
  • ◆ If anti-roll bar is replaced, pay attention to running gear version.

→ Tightening torques:

Pay attention to modified connecting links and tightening torques
=>Page 40-19.

  • ‒ Attach connecting link to anti-roll bar -1- (tightening torque 100 Nm).
    • Always use new ribbed nut.
  • ‒ Tighten hexagon nuts -2- to 25 Nm.
    • Always replace.
  • ‒ Install noise insulation.
