The following information does not apply to the 6-cyl. 5-valve turbo engine (bi-turbo).

Notes:

Pay attention to the following to avoid damaging pump:

• ◆ Cut-off valve of pressure gauge must not remain closed for more than 10 seconds during this test.
• ◆ Start engine without pressing accelerator and allow it to idle.
• ◆ Take pump pressure reading at idling speed immediately after starting (have second mechanic take reading if necessary).
• ◆ Maximum pressure displayed is definitive, as pressure decreases in the course of the test.
