| Service interval display and mileage counter adaption must be performed in kilometres even in countries with speedometer display in miles. This involves converting the adaption values from miles to kilometres or entering the adaption values previously noted down. |

| Since Model Year 1998, the immobilizer control unit has been integrated into the dash panel insert. Immobilizer adaption must therefore be performed after replacing the dash panel insert. |
| Take the following action after replacing the dash panel insert: |
| –
| Adapt the mileage counter reading → Anchor. |
| –
| Adapt the language version of the driver information system (DIS) → Anchor. |
| –
| Correct the characteristic curve of the fuel consumption indicator → Anchor (only if characteristic curve has been altered). |
| –
| Correct the characteristic curve of the fuel gauge sender → Anchor (only if characteristic curve has been altered). |
| –
| Reset the service interval display on completion of service → Anchor. |
Note | “Adaption channels 05, 06, 07” can be used to adapt the service interval display mileage and time intervals, e.g. to comply with country-specific requirements. Applicable specifications → Booklet802. |
