The control unit is installed in the luggage compartment under the rear shelf.

IMPORTANT:

If replacing the navigation system control unit, observe the requisite measures

=>Page 91-148.

Removing

• ‒ Open luggage compartment.

• ‒ → Remove the bracket -3- together with navigation system control unit -2- by removing the bolts -1- (1.4 Nm).
• ‒ Detach the electrical connectors and the aerial wiring (GPS) on the rear side of the navigation system control unit with CD drive and on the CD changer.
• ‒ Remove the control unit from the bracket by removing the screws -4- (2 Nm).

Installing:

• ‒ Installation is carried out in reverse sequence to removal.

The control unit for navigation system with CD drive (-J401) is located in rear left of luggage compartment.

• ‒ Open left storage compartment in luggage compartment.
• ‒ Remove luggage compartment left trim.

=> General Body Assembly, Interior; Repair group 70; Trims; Removing and installing left/right luggage compartment trims

• ‒ Remove securing bolts -1-, -2- and -3- (2 Nm) for package holder (mounting frame) and remove package holder -4-.
• ‒ Disconnect the control unit connectors and remove the complete mounting frame -4-.

• ‒ → Remove the two securing screws -1- from either side of the control unit for navigation system with CD drive (-J401) -3- and remove control unit from mounting frame -2-.

Installing:

• ‒ Installation is carried out in reverse sequence to removal.
