Removing and installing seat heating element (standard seat)
Removing and installing seat heating element (standard seat)
Removing
–  Remove seat: vehicles up to 10.2004 → Chapter; vehicles from 11.2004 onwards → Chapter.
–  Remove backrest: vehicles up to 10.2004 → Chapter, vehicles from 11.2004 onwards → Chapter.
–  Remove seat pan cover and padding → Chapter.
   
–  Cut cable -2- off old heating element -1-.
Installing
–  Align heating elements -1- on seat cushion, pull off backing and bond heating elements firmly to surfaces of padding.
–  Insert wire -2- in gap -3-.
–  At locations marked -4- route connecting wires in base of slots, avoiding crossover.
