Sealing off top part of housing with horizontally installed auxiliary heater to stop fuel emerging > < Installing

1 - Housing with heat exchanger
q   Not to be dismantled
q   Remove combustion residue from combustion chamber prior to assembly (clean)
q   Affixing auxiliay heater rating plate in line with auxiliary heater design (for “Petrol” or “Diesel”) → Chapter
2 - Burner element with combustion air blower -V6-
q   Checking → Chapter
q   Dismantling and assembling → Chapter
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Sealing off burner element from housing with horizontally installed auxiliary heater → Chapter
q   Affixing auxiliay heater rating plate in line with auxiliary heater design (for “Petrol” or “Diesel”) → Chapter
q   Do not pull on impeller of combustion air blower to remove
q   Can only be pulled out of housing following removal of glow plug for heater -Q9- → Chapter
3 - Top part of housing with intake air duct
q   Sealing top part of housing to stop fuel emerging → Chapter
4 - Bolt
5 - “Auxiliary heater” wiring harness
q   With various sensors
q   Version for horizontal installation
6 - Cover for auxiliary heater sensors
q   Holds temperature sensor -G18- in position in auxiliary heater
q   Detaching and attaching → Chapter
7 - Hexagon nut
q   Special collared nut
8 - Hexagon nut
q   Self-locking, replace
q   For attachment of wiring harness earth connection
9 - Glow plug for heater -Q9-
q   With internal heater coils
q   Checking → Chapter
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
10 - Heater overheating fuse -S24-
q   Checking → Chapter
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Part of wiring harness, cannot be replaced separately
11 - Temperature sensor -G18-
q   Checking → Chapter
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Part of wiring harness, cannot be replaced separately
q   Positioned directly in coolant and sealed off from housing by way of an O-ring
12 - O-ring
q   Replace
13 - Auxiliary heater earth connection
q   Current flows back via this connection from glow plug to auxiliary heater control unit -J364-
q   Check for corrosion (contamination) and firm attachment to housing
14 - 2-pin connector
q   To circulation pump -V55-
15 - 2-pin connector
q   To combustion air blower -V6-
q   Inserted in burner element
16 - Flame monitor -G64-
q   Checking → Chapter
q   Removing/installing and checking → Chapter
q   Part of wiring harness, cannot be replaced separately
