Installing > < Removing and installing metering pump V54

Removing
Removing
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Remove cover beneath fuel filter. → Fuel supply system; Rep. Gr.20
   
–  Unplug connector -A- from metering pump -V54--B-.
–  Detach fuel pipe -C- → Chapter.
–  Seal fuel pipe -C-.
–  Unfasten clip at fuel pipe -D-.
–  Detach fuel pipe -D-.
–  Seal fuel pipe -D-.
–  Remove hexagon bolt -E-.
  Note
t  The holder -F- is only fitted on front-wheel drive vehicles (for attachment of handbrake cable). → Relevant running gear workshop manual

t  The metering pump -A- is secured in position in the holder -D- with the rubber element -B- and the hexagon nut -C-.
