Removing
  WARNING
High voltage! Danger to life!
Safety precautions when handling gas discharge lamps → Electrical system; General information; Rep. Gr.94.
   
–  Remove headlight → Chapter.
–  Release retaining clip -arrow- and detach housing cover for dipped beam from headlight housing.

–  Detach connector -1- at gas discharge lamp by turning anti-clockwise.
  Note
Leave retaining clip -arrows- for gas discharge lamp in position.

–  Unscrew bolts -arrows-.
–  Detach control unit from headlight housing.
–  Connector at gas discharge lamp can then be passed through headlight housing.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Secure housing cover with retaining clip.
–  Install headlight → Anchor.
