Removing and installing head restraint (with electric adjustment)
Removing and installing head restraint (with electric adjustment)
  Note
t  The head restraints can be removed with the front seats in position.
t  The pressure point for release (release button) is located on the outer left of the driver's seat and on the inner left of the front passenger's seat (as seen in direction of travel).
   
Removing
–  Remove backrest cover panel:
t  Two-piece backrest cover panel → Chapter „Removing and installing backrest cover panel“
t  One-piece backrest cover panel → Chapter „Removing and installing backrest cover panel“
–  Unfasten cable tie clip -3- at backrest frame -1-.
–  Unplug electrical connector -2-.
  A72-10757
–  Reach beneath backrest cover and locate pressure point of release button -3-.
–  Press release button forwards in direction of -arrow-.
–  Keep release button -3- pressed in this position.
–  Lift head restraint -2- out of head restraint guides -1- and -4-.

  Caution
When pulling out the head restraint, make sure the connector at the head restraint does not catch in the head restraint guides or the fixed cap of the cover.
–  When pulling out head restraint -1-, thread wire with connector -4- through head restraint guide -3-.
2 - Backrest frame

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Release button -3- does not have to be pressed when installing head restraint.
