Removing and installing luggage compartment side trim
Removing and installing luggage compartment side trim
  Note
Removal and installation are identical on the left and right.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Removal lever -80 - 200-
Removing
–  Remove load guard.
–  Remove side padding → Chapter.
–  Equipment version with side airbag (rear): Remove side airbag (rear) → Chapter.
–  Remove rear cross panel trim → Chapter.
–  Remove trim cover → Chapter.
–  Equipment version with retaining rail: Remove retaining rail → Chapter.
–  Remove front luggage compartment floor (holder for vehicle tool kit) → Chapter.
–  Remove bag hook → Chapter.

–  Remove cover for luggage compartment side trim.
–  Remove bolt -1-.
–  If fitted, detach rubber grommet -2- from retainer for load guard.
–  Use removal lever -80 - 200- to prise luggage compartment side trim -3- off body -arrow A-.
–  Disengage luggage compartment side trim, first at retaining clip -arrow B-, then at trim for D-pillar and C-pillar, and detach.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

t  If there are still trim clips in the body mounting points, they must be removed and inserted in the trim when installing.
t  Check the clips for damage or deformation and renew them if necessary.
–  First apply luggage compartment side trim to centring pin and then press on until it engages audibly.
–  Fold lip of rear lid seal over luggage compartment side trim.
