Removing and installing vacuum pump -V192-
The vacuum pump -V192- is not installed on all engine versions.
The electrical vacuum pump (vacuum pump for brakes -V192-) is switched on by the engine control unit according to intake manifold pressure.
The vacuum pump is not intended to be serviced. If problems occur, trace the fault by means of a function test and/or pressurised leak test. If a fault is found, the electric vacuum pump must be renewed.
Removing
  Note
The electrical vacuum pump is located on the right-side of the engine compartment in front of the plenum chamber partition panel.
–  Detach engine cover panel.
   
–  Unplug electrical connector -1-.
–  Release hose clip on vacuum hose using suitable pliers.
–  Disconnect vacuum hose from vacuum pump.

–  Press clips -arrow- on both sides out of retainers by hand.

–  Lift out electrical vacuum pump, holding rubber buffer below pump firmly.
  Note
Make sure that the rubber buffer below the pump does not drop into the engine compartment when detaching the vacuum pump -V192-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence.
  Note
Use new hose clip when fitting vacuum line.
