Removing and installing evaporator output temperature sender -G263-
Removing
–  Move the front passenger's seat to the rearmost position.
–  Switch off the ignition.
–  Remove the glove compartment → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.68.
–  Remove the right footwell vent (front passenger side) → Chapter.
   
–  Unplug the connector -A-.
–  Unfasten the evaporator output temperature sender -G263--B- from the mount -C- of the air conditioning unit.
–  Give the evaporator output temperature sender -G263--B- a 180° turn and pull it out of the air conditioning unit.
  Note
The evaporator output temperature sender -G263--B- is installed with its temperature sensor -D- facing the evaporator. To permit removal and installation with the air intake box in position, it must be turned in its mount through 180° with respect to its installation position after unfastening and before attaching.
Installing
Install in reverse order; paying attention to the following:
–  Insert the evaporator output temperature sender -G263--B- in the mount -C- of the air conditioning unit.
–  Give the evaporator output temperature sender -G263--B- a 180° turn and then secure it in the mount.
–  Re-install all the parts removed in reverse order.
–  Switch on the ignition.
–  Interrogate the event recorder of the operating and display unit, Climatronic control unit -J255- and erase any faults displayed → "Guided fault-finding" function of vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051.
