Switch the ignition off.
Specified value: battery voltage.
If the specified value was not obtained:

Check the Transmission Control Module (TCM) ( J217) electrical harness connector terminal 9 to the Ignition/Starter Switch (D) terminal 6/15 for
an open circuit, or a short to Ground (GND).

Check the wiring connection for damage, corrosion, loose or broken terminals.
-
If necessary, repair the faulty wiring connection.
If the specified value was obtained:

Switch the ignition on.

Using a Multimeter, check the Transmission Control Module (TCM) (J217) electrical harness connector terminal 14 to Ground (GND) for voltage.

Switch the ignition off.
Specified value: battery voltage.
If the specified value was not obtained:
-
Check the Transmission Control Module (TCM) ( J217) electrical harness connector terminal 14 to the Ignition/Starter Switch (D) terminal 6/15
for an open circuit, or a short to Ground (GND).

Check the wiring connection for damage, corrosion, loose or broken terminals.
-
If necessary, repair the faulty wiring connection.
If the specified value was obtained:
Checking Ground (GND)

Using a Multimeter, check the Transmission Control Module (TCM) (J217) electrical harness connector terminals for resistance.
Specified value: 1.5 ohms Max.
If the specified value was not obtained:
-
Check the wiring connections for an open circuit, short circuit to Battery (+) or Ground (GND).

Check the wiring connection for damage, corrosion, loose or broken terminals.

If necessary, repair the faulty wiring connection.
If the specified values were obtained:

Erase the DTC memory. Refer to => [ Diagnostic Mode 04 - Erase DTC Memory ] See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control
