Transmission Mount: Service and Repair

Left and Right Transmission Mount and Transmission Support

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Engine/transmission jack (V.A.G 1383 A )

Removing

-

Remove the front exhaust pipe on the affected side of the transmission. 

-

Remove Universal Support (V.A.G 1359/2) from Engine/Transmission Jack (V.A.G 1383 A).

-

Position Engine/Transmission Jack (V.A.G 1383 A) thrust disc centered on lower frame boss - arrow - and support transmission from underneath.

-

Remove left and right bolts - 3 - for the transmission mount - B - to the subframe - C -.

‹› Both transmission mounts must always be detached from the subframe.
