Removing
CAUTION!
Observe procedures for disconnecting battery.

With the ignition switched off, disconnect the battery Ground (GND) cable.

Remove oil pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] See: Fluid Pan/Service and Repair.

Remove oil screen. Refer to => [ Oil Strainer ] See: Fluid Filter - A/T/Service and Repair.

Disconnect 16-pin connector - 2 - on the transmission by moving the securing lever and turning the rotating screw counter-clockwise.

Touch vehicle ground with hand (without gloves) to discharge static.
CAUTION!
‹› Always discharge static by touching a grounded object, e.g. vehicle ground, before touching or removing the mechatronic unit.
‹› Connector terminals in the 16-pin connector must not be touched by hand under any circumstances because control module and
therefore Mechatronic may be destroyed by static discharge.

Remove wiring harness connector securing clamp - arrow - on outside of transmission housing.
