Wiring Harness: Service and Repair
Wiring Harness in Transmission
Removing

Remove Mechatronic unit. Refer to => [ Mechatronic ] See: Valve Body/Service and Repair/Mechatronic.

Touch vehicle ground with hand (without gloves) to discharge static.
CAUTION!
‹› Always discharge static by touching a grounded object, e.g. vehicle ground, before touching or removing the mechatronic unit.
‹› Never touch contacts in 16-pin connector, as the static charge could destroy the control module and thus the mechatronic unit.

Carefully pry the wiring harness - A - from the mechatronic unit - B -. At the same time, detach tab - arrow - on backside of wiring harness from
mechatronics unit.
‹› If the tab on the backside of the wiring harness breaks off, the wiring harness must be replaced. Refer to => [ Wiring Harness in Transmission ]

Carefully disconnect the connector - C - from socket - D - of the mechatronic unit.
Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

Carefully connect the connector - C - into socket - D - of the mechatronics unit.

Clip wiring harness - A - onto the mechatronics unit - B -. At the same time, insert the tab - arrow - on backside of wiring harness into the
mechatronics unit.

Install the mechatronics unit. Refer to => [ Mechatronic ] See: Valve Body/Service and Repair/Mechatronic.

Fill with ATF. Refer to => [ ATF, Draining or Filling after Repair ] See: Fluid - A/T/Service and Repair/ATF, Draining or Filling After Repair.
