Shift Knob with Cover

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Hose Clamp Pliers (V.A.G 1275)

Removing

‹› The shift knob is removed together with the shift lever boot and the cover for center console.

-

Open the ashtray.

-

Unclip center console cover and remove upward - arrows -. 

Shift knob with clamp:

-

Fold cover upward and over shift knob.

-

Open clamp - arrow - and pull off shift knob together with cover.

Shift knob with locking mechanism:

-

Release connection piece - 1 - in direction of -  arrow - and remove selector knob upward together with shift lever cover.
