Windshield: Service and Repair
Windshield, Installing

After performing preparatory work, cut tip off nozzle as shown.

Dimension -a- = 12 mm

Width of adhesive bead = 8 mm

Arrow indicates direction of application

NOTE:  The cross-section thickness of the adhesive bead is determined by the dimension of the opening in the nozzle tip and the rate of application.

Apply adhesive sealing material (bead) around circumference of windshield as shown.
Distance between center of adhesive bead and edge of windshield is 8 mm.

Using two suctioned lifters, install windshield in windshield opening.

CAUTION!
Windshield must be installed within 10 minutes; otherwise, proper adhesion of the sealing material will be impaired.

Align windshield at sides.
Spacing between edge of windshield and roof frame must be 4 mm.

Press drip rail -1- into securing clips -3- starting at top and working downward.

Drip rail lip (arrow) must not extend beyond engagement line-radius of gap cover -5-.
