Loosen bolts/quick release fasteners - 1 - and - 2 - and remove front sound insulation - A -.

-

If installed, loosen quick release fasteners - 3 - and remove rear sound insulation - B -.

If installed, remove sound insulation - arrows - in wheel housing (left-side).

-

If installed, remove heat shield - arrows - for drive axle (left-side).

-

Remove drive axle - 1 - from flange shaft and tie as far as possible to front, taking care not to damage surface protection.

-

Place drip tray V.A.G 1306 underneath.

-

Remove flange shaft (left-side) by securing puller T10037 to cover for final drive - arrow -.
