Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 28 number 08-18 dated December 2, 2008 for reasons listed below.

AFFECTED VEHICLES

CONDITION

The hinged covers of the ignition lock switch stick in the open position after the key is removed.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

Ignition lock panel may have been distorted when installed.

PRODUCTION SOLUTION

Revised installation procedure.

SERVICE

1. Refer to the instructions in ELSA for Removal and Installation of the Access/Start Authorization Switch Trim. This switch is also known as the 
ignition switch.

2. Remove the gap cover for the instrument cluster from the instrument panel.

3. Remove the cover for the MMI screen.
