‹› Always blow compressed air through the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) cooler and pipes (max. 10 mbar) and replace the auxiliary ATF
filter before installing a replacement transmission. If extremely dirty ATF flows out when blowing with compressed air, the ATF cooler and pipes
must also be flushed with clean ATF.
‹› To install, first insert the ATF pipes into the transmission or cooler by hand as far as they will go, then bolt on.
Removing

‹› Removal and installation here is described for vehicles with 6 cylinder engine.

On vehicles equipped with a auxiliary heater, remove the bolts - arrows - for the exhaust pipe of the auxiliary heater to the noise insulation.

Loosen the bolts or quick release screws - 1 - and - 2 - and remove the front noise insulation.
