Differential Output Shaft: Service and Repair

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
‹› Drift (VW 295)
‹› Puller (T10037)
‹› Oil receptacle
Removing
‹› Transmission installed.

Remove the left front wheel and tire.
-
On vehicles equipped with auxiliary heater, remove bolts - arrows - for the exhaust pipe on the auxiliary heater to noise insulation.
-
Remove the bolts or quick release screws - 1 to 3 - and remove the noise insulation at front and rear.
-
If installed, remove bolt - 1 - for noise insulation cover over the left drive axle.
