Shifter CVT: Removal and Replacement

Locking Lever
1 - Locking cable
Removing
‹› Do not kink the locking cable.
CAUTION!
Observe procedures for disconnecting battery.

Disconnect the negative battery cable ground (GND).

Remove the storage compartment on the driver's side.

Remove the steering column trim.

Remove Air Conditioning (A/C) system control.

Remove the ashtray in the center console.

Remove the cover for the shift mechanism. Refer to => [ Shift Mechanism Cover ] See: Shift Mechanism Cover.

Turn the ignition key to the driving position ("ignition on ").

Place the selector lever in the "P" position.
