Shifter CVT: Removal and Replacement

Shift Mechanism

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Socket and key (T40031)

Removing

-

Remove the selector lever handle. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] See: Selector Lever Handle. 

-

Remove the Air Conditioning (A/C) control.

-

Remove the ashtray in the center console.

-

Release all 4 clips - arrows - and pull the cover -  1 - with guide upwards to remove.

-

Disconnect the connector from the side of the guide plate.

-

Disconnect the electrical harness connector on the shift lock solenoid (N110).

-

Raise the retaining tab - A - and remove the locking lever in direction of - arrow -.

-

Place the selector lever in the "D" position.

-

Loosen the rear clamping screw on the selector lever cable through the hole in the shift mechanism approximately one turn using the socket and
key (T40031).
