Removing and installing coolant pipe (rear left) - engine codes CAMA, CAMB, CAPA
Removing and installing coolant pipe (rear left) - engine codes CAMA, CAMB, CAPA
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hose clip pliers -VAS 6362-
  W00-10427
Removing
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Detach electrical connector -2- from bracket and unplug.
  Note
Disregard -item 1-.
–  Unplug electrical connector at glow plug for cylinder 6.
–  Remove intermediate pipe (left-side) → Chapter
  A23-10166
–  Detach change-over valve for exhaust gas recirculation cooler -N345--item 1- from bracket.
–  Remove bolts -3- and -4- and ball stud -2-.
–  Move electrical wiring harness clear at coolant pipe (rear left).
–  Detach coolant pipe (rear left) from coolant hoses -arrows-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter „Coolant pipes - exploded view“
–  Install intermediate pipe (left-side) → Chapter.
–  Fill up with coolant → Anchor.
