CONDITION
Customer may report:

^ Vehicle shudders briefly before a stop.

^ Harsh up shift at low to medium throttle.

^ Harsh downshift when coming to a stop.

^ Slight hesitation from a stop.

Optimized transmission control unit software for improved shift quality.

SERVICE

1. Try to reproduce the customer complaint so that it can be clearly assigned to this TSB. If this TSB applies, follow the steps below.

2. Per SVM software chart above, check whether the vehicle requires a software update. If the transmission control unit is below the listed new version,
update the transmission control unit (J217) via SVM.
