Navigation System With CD Drive Control Module J401 - MMI, Removing And Installing

Navigation System with CD Drive Control Module J401 is located behind luggage compartment left side trim

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

-

Radio removal tool T10057

-

Protective Cap For Cable Connector VAS 6223/9

-

Turn off all electrical components.

-

Remove ignition key.

-

If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine.

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 to do so.

Removing

Vehicles with luggage compartment storage bin:

-

Open left luggage compartment storage bin.

Vehicles without luggage compartment storage bin:

-

Remove left luggage compartment side trim.

All vehicles:

CAUTION:

-

The Navigation System with CD Drive Control Module J401 MOST bus lines are kept short.

-

Before removing the Navigation System with CD Drive Control Module J401, the MOST bus connector on the module must be
disconnected.

Therefore, first remove Infotainment rack enough so connector to MOST bus can be reached.
