Disconnect vacuum line - 1 -.

-

Remove pin of expanding clip - 4 -.

-

Remove lower air filter housing and disconnect electrical harness connector - 2 - at rear.

-

If present, disconnect hose - 3 - secondary air injection pump.

-

Remove lower air filter housing.
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Air filter housing, removing - vehicles with 4.2l MPI engine

Work procedure

-

Remove bolts - arrows -.

-

Remove air guides - 1 - and - 2 -.

-

Uncover fuel line - 1 - at upper air filter housing.

-

Disconnect electrical harness connector - 2 - at Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor G70.

-

Remove air guide hose, to do so remove hose clamp - 3 -.

-

Open clips - arrows - and remove upper air filter housing with mass air flow sensor.
