Valve Body: Service and Repair
Service Notes
VALVE BODY, ASSEMBLY
NOTES:
^
The valve body can be removed when the gearbox is in the vehicle.
^
Lubricate O-rings with ATF when installing.
^
Always replace dirty or malfunctioning valve bodies.
^
Use only lint-free cloths.
^
After installing the oil pan, fill with ATF.
CAUTION: If the ATF oil pan is removed, or there is no ATF in the transmission, DO NOT start the engine or tow the vehicle.
1. Drain plug

40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
^
Remove plug to drain ATF
2. Seal
^
Always replace
3. Bolt
^
10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
^
Tighten oil pan bolts diagonally in several stages
4. Oil pan
5. Gasket
^
Always replace
6. ATF filter
7. Bolt
^
8 Nm (71 inch lbs.)
^
For securing valve body
^
M6 x 30, quantity: 1
^
M6 x 60, quantity: 16
^
Observe correct tightening sequence

Select correct version according to transmission code
