Preparing new parts

Make holes for punched rivets, 8.5 mm (0.33 in.).

Match up new parts to body.

Prepare flanges on body and new parts for welding.

Install cross member.

MIG weld cross member to left and right suspension strut mount, continuous seam.
-
MIG plug-weld cross member to plenum chamber (as replacement for punched rivet).
-
MIG weld cross member to plenum chamber, continuous seam.
-
Position on sealing plate.
-
MIG weld sealing plate to left and right suspension strut mount, continuous seam.
-
MIG weld sealing plate to cross member, continuous seam.
