Differential Output Shaft: Service and Repair
Left Drive Flange Ball Bearing, Replacing
The following special tools and testing equipment are necessary for this work:
VW 401 - Pressure plate
VW 402 - Pressure plate
VW 407 - Punch
VW 412 - Thrust disc
VW 415 A - Tube
32-109 - Driving sleeve
Removing

Remove left drive flange.
^
Remove circlip (arrow -A-) for ball bearing.
^
Place left drive flange bracket on pressure plates VW 401 and VW 402 and press drive flange out of bracket using thrust discVW412.
CAUTION!
Hold the drive flange with one hand to prevent it from falling.
