Oil Pan, ATF Sump and Valve Body, Removing and Installing

CAUTION!

If the ATF oil pan is removed, or there is no ATF in the transmission, DO NOT start the engine or tow the vehicle.

Notes:

The items shown in the following illustration can be removed while the transmission is installed.

Always replace dirty or malfunctioning valve bodies.

Rules of cleanliness for working on automatic transmission

Refer to general repair instructions.

Coat O-rings and sealing rings with a thin coat of Vaseline. Other types of grease leas to malfunctions in the hydraulic transmission control.

1 - Drain plug

12 Nm (9 inch lbs.)

Hex recess: 5 mm
