Remove brake caliper housing and set aside so that the weight of brake caliper does not burden or damage brake hose.

Remove brake pads from brake caliper housing or from brake carrier. 

Clean brake caliper with mineral spirits exclusively. 

Installing

Press piston back.

‹› Before inserting new brake pads, press the piston back into the cylinder using the piston resetting tool. Before pushing back the piston, siphon

some of the brake fluid out of the brake fluid reservoir. Otherwise fluid will overflow and cause damage if the reservoir was topped off during
repair work. 

CAUTION!
Brake fluid is poisonous. NEVER siphon brake fluid with your mouth!

Set brake pad with retaining spring and wear indicator into brake caliper housing (piston).
