Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service and Repair
Deactivating

Deactivating

-

Remove rear seat bench.

NOTE:  Left and right side airbags can only be jointly deactivated. Individual side airbag deactivation is not possible.

A connector is installed on left and right under rear seat bench..

-

Press retainer tab - 2 - in direction of - arrow - and disconnect connector - 1 -.

Secure loose connectors with wire ties.

Rear side airbag deactivation stickers

Apply side airbag deactivation stickers - 1 - on left and right of frame - 2 - of rear doors - arrow -.

-

If local regulations require several stickers to be applied, these are to be attached above sticker shown.

Change coding of airbag control module to coding without rear side airbag..

-

Fill in registration card and forward it to appropriate sales center/importer for registration. Put page 3 of registration card in vehicle documents.
