Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service and Repair
Activating

Activating

-

Remove seat pan.

NOTE:
-

Left and right side airbags can only be jointly activated. Individual side airbag activation is not possible.

-

One connector each is provided on left and right on sill panel side of seat frame.

-

Cut through connector cable ties.

-

Install connector for side airbag - 1 -.
Vehicles with no head airbag

-

Remove rear wheel housing trim.

-

Install crash sensor connector at C-pillar.

-

Install rear wheel housing trim.

All vehicles

-

Remove seat pan.

-

Remove side airbag deactivation stickers from rear door frames.

-

Use cleaning agent to remove any residual adhesive from door frames.

-

Alter encoding of airbag control module to option with rear side airbag.

-

Complete registration card and forward it to appropriate regional sales center or importer for recording purposes. Remove Sheet 3 of registration
card from customers document wallet.
