Bring the steering wheel to center position then place the universal joint on the steering pinion.

Tighten the banjo bolt - 1 -. Refer to - item 19 - in => [ Power Steering Gear Assembly Overview ] See: Power Steering Gear Assembly Overview.

Tighten the banjo bolt - 2 - using a bent open end wrench, for example, (Hazet 615). Refer to - item 13 - in => [ Power Steering Gear Assembly
Overview ] See: Power Steering Gear Assembly Overview.

Remove the (VAS 6224) - 2 - from the steering gear.

Seal the steering gear using the locking bolt - 1 -.

Insert the tie rod in the wheel bearing housing to the stop.

‹› Install the tie rod - 1 - in the wheel bearing housing by hand. Do not put stress on the tie rod end sealing washer - 2 -.
