Remove the joint piece horizontally using the (VW 771).

Leave the joint piece in the (T40018).

Mark the installed position of the parts - 1 and 2 - with lines.

If they are not marked and are not reinstalled in their previously installed positions, noises may occur later during driving operation.

A water proof felt pen is well suited for applying the mark.

Triple roller star

Remove the grease from the triple roller star and the joint piece using a lint free cloth.

-

Remove the securing ring.
