‹› Hose Clamps up to 25 mm dia. (3094)
‹› Used oil collection and extraction device (V.A.G 1782)
Removing
‹› Before installing a replacement transmission, clean ATF cooler and ATF lines => [ ATF Lines and Cooler, Cleaning ] See: Fluid
Line/Hose/Service and Repair/Procedures. If extremely dirty ATF flows out when blowing with compressed air, ATF cooler and ATF lines must
also be flushed with clean ATF.

‹› Thoroughly clean all connections and the surrounding area before disconnecting.
‹› When installing ATF lines, insert them by hand completely into transmission or ATF cooler as far as stop and then tighten.

Remove front noise insulation by loosening fasteners - 1 -.
‹› Ignore items - 2, 3, 4 -.

Free up secondary air injection (AIR) air guide hose - 1 - on ATF cooler bracket.
