Cut open all tie wraps on bracket.

Pull hydraulic hoses out from around bracket and opening between pressure spring and stop (arrow).

Remove retaining clips -4- from ball joints on both ends of hydraulic cylinder -3-.

Remove tie wraps -1- and guide hydraulic cylinder out through convertible top linkage.

Spread out plastic sheeting (or equivalent) in storage compartment to protect from leaked hydraulic fluid.

Place cylinder in storage compartment.
Note:
Mark the letters identifying the hydraulic hoses onto the hydraulic cylinder.

Disconnect hydraulic hoses from hydraulic cylinder.

Pull hydraulic hoses out of vehicle around bracket.

Connect new hydraulic hoses to hydraulic cylinder.
Match up markings on hoses and cylinder
Tightening torque: 28 Nm (21 ft lb)

Install hydraulic hose between pressure spring and stop (arrow). Route hose around bracket.
