close open connection at Y-piece with cap, Part No. 433 862 197

Vacuum pump, installing (4000 2-door)

Work sequence
-

remove old vacuum pump with bracket

-

install new vacuum pump with sound dampening material, 100 mm length vacuum hose and electric connector

-

install in trunk cavity at right rear fender

-

disconnect vacuum hose for left door (at T-piece under rear seat right side) and lay aside

-

close open connection at T-piece with cap, Part No. 433 862 197

Vacuum pump, installing (Audi 5000)

Work sequence
-

remove old vacuum pump from spare tire well

-

remove vacuum hose, Part No. N 900 021 03, 1100 mm length from T-piece and discard

-

drill 4.2 mm hole in rear panel and attach ground wire with sheet metal screw
