pull glass from adjusting rod

-

installation is in reverse of removal

Housing 17103 - Coupe only

remove upper spring (arrow) from replacement glass

Housing 17089 - Audi 4000

do not remove springs (arrows) from replacement glass

CAUTION Push glass back on ball pin by applying pressure at center of mirror only. Wear protective gloves to prevent injury if glass breaks.

Mirror glass replacement - electric

Work sequence

-

center notches on clamping ring over slot at bottom of mirror housing

-

hold mirror and turn clamping ring counterclockwise with screwdriver

-

unplug electrical connections and remove mirror from housing
